Bruce C. Jordan

Bruce C. Jordan, age 81 of Paoli, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison due to complications of pneumonia and Parkinson's Disease. He was born on December 9, 1939, in Washington, D.C., to Lorna (Wild) and Wellington Jordan.

Bruce grew up in Washington, D.C., until moving back to Paoli at the age of 9 to live close to his mother and grandparents, Dora and Bill Wild. Bruce loved living in his grandmother's house since 1980. Over the years he had remodeled every room, including building custom cabinets in the kitchen. Bruce worked for Hoffman House Sauce, Co. and Hoffman House Restaurants for over 25 years in maintenance. Later he worked for A & S Sales and Service and Wisconsin Management Company until his retirement in 1986. Bruce loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. Over the years he had made trips to Canada and Colorado to fish and hunt bear and elk. Bruce also enjoyed trips up north to Louise and Lyle's near Minocqua, and he loved to reminisce about the Alaskan Cruise taken with Steve and Terry. Bruce was a member of the Oregon Sportsman's Club, where he loved to shoot skeet. He also loved his canine and feline companions, Bear, Loki, Maggie, Jake, and Stubby. Most of all, Bruce enjoyed his family and times shared together. He always loved and lived life to its fullest even while dealing with Parkinson's, he was happy to chat with those he met and swapped stories with. Bruce, you will be missed by all that have ever met you. May you rest in peace until we meet again.
