Minda Jo Barber
Minda Jo Barber, 69 of Muscoda, passed from this life on April 9, 2020. Born on September 15, 1950, Minda grew up in the Basswood area.
She graduated from the Muscoda High School in 1968. Upon graduation, Minda moved to Madison and worked at WPS Health Insurance. From there she moved to New Glarus, working at Robert's Drug Store.
Minda later moved back to the family farm. She worked at a Muscoda nursing home as a Nurse's Aide, was a bartender at Richland Valley, then worked at Kaul Tronics. Minda became a local business owner, purchasing Main Street Trophy. She bought the Frame Corner and Gallery in 1995. Everywhere Minda lived, she made a huge circle of friends.
Minda had many talents. One of her favorites was painting with acrylics on canvas. Her creative eye was the beginning of her legacy. She could envision what a project would look like from its conception. All of her customers were her friends, and their walls reflect her gifted abilities.
Minda had a heart of gold and was a very giving person to her friends and to her community.
Minda is survived by her sister, Kit, of La Crosse; her dogs, Mannie Mae and Dusty Rose; nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Florence Barber; and her sister, Leandra.
Minda was a shooting star passing through our lives. She left starshine on all those she loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service, Richland Center, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
