Town of New Glarus Looking for Park Commission Members

The Town of New Glarus held the 2019 Invasive Species Workshop on April 7th at Bailey's Run. Kelly Kearns, Mike Davis and Matt Sheaffer spoke at the workshop about invasive species, their effect on the environment and methods for controlling their impact on native species.

Work with a team to decide what your Town looks like and all that it offers for recreational opportunities. The Town's Park Commission formed in July of 2004, with the mission to "assure the needs and desires for recreational opportunities and preservation of natural areas are met." Our committee members meet for two hours a month and are compensated for every meeting they attend.

The Commission has worked on the following projects and more: Organizes annual Spring Tree Sale, (pre-orders and day of sales). Proceeds help Boy and Girl Scouts pay for trips they otherwise might not be able...
