2022 Spring Election Candidates-Monticello Village Board
Monticello Village Board has three open seats in the Spring Election. There are four candidates for those seats, Hilda Baumgartner, Tyler Smith, Aaron Bittner and Erin Goins. Aaron Bittner and Erin Goins were inadvertently left out of last week's Post Messenger Recorder. We apologize for the error.

Have you been on the village board or held any other public office before? If so please describe: Yes, I have been a trustee on the Monticello village board for the past 7 months.
Why are you running for village board? As a 16-year resident, I am proud to call Monticello my home.
I feel it's important to stay on task with the needs of the community; to understand and truly listen to citizens' concerns; and to help make difficult decisions, and to continue to carefully take into consideration all aspects. I am eager to help our village grow, reduce taxes, and, most importantly, to be a vital part of keeping our community healthy and safe.
I believe our village is a wonderful place to live. I'd like to continue providing my time, my insight, and offering up my skills.
What issues do you find most important to the village board? List your top three priorities: Keeping our community healthy, safe, and informed. Reducing taxes and promoting growth within our village. Continuing to work together effectively as a board, all committees and welcoming residents to attend and express their opinions. Which I feel is so important.
If you could reverse one village action, what would that be? As a current board member, I wouldn't change any past decisions. I feel any motions made were carefully thought out with facts and research and abiding by our village ordinances.
