2022 Spring Election Candidates-Monticello Village Board
Monticello Village Board has three open seats in the Spring Election. There are four candidates for those seats, Hilda Baumgartner, Tyler Smith, Aaron Bittner and Erin Goins. Aaron Bittner and Erin Goins were inadvertently left out of last week's Post Messenger Recorder. We apologize for the error.

Have you been on the village board or held any other public office before? If so please describe: No
Why are you running for village board? I am running for village board to do my part to give back to the community. As co-treasurer of the Monticello Booster Club, I am receiving valuable experience on how community involvement by an individual can make a difference to so many others. Growing the community of Monticello is also very important to me. I believe that creating more opportunities for the residents of the village should be a high priority. I feel making Monticello a place where businesses want to come to with quality jobs in the area and also bringing in new residents, as I once was, is a key to growing the community.
What issues do you find most important to the village board? List your top three priorities: Growing the size of the community. New jobs and business opportunities. Ensuring the village is fiscally responsible.
If you could reverse one village action, what would that be? I'm not running to second guess what the board has done in the past, but rather look toward the future of Monticello.
