Kaitlyn Riley, the 71st Alice in Dairyland, and Brenna Meier, the 2018-2019 Green County Dairy Queen, recently visited with fourth grade students in Belleville to speak to them about Wisconsin agriculture.

Hi, my name is Brenna Meier, your 2018-2019 Green County Dairy Queen from Belleville. My parents are Chris and Bob Meier.

This past year has been full of fun as the Dairy Queens have been excitedly promoting agriculture around our communities and our county through the Green County Ag Chest. This year we have had the pleasure to work with Kaitlyn Riley, the 71st Alice In Dairyland. She has been an amazing influence and role model for the Dairy Queens through everything we have done! She joined us at the Green County Fair and talked to us about how agriculture has been an impact in her life and we shared how it has influenced us. Then the Green County Dairy Princess, Emily Makos, and I were able to join her at the State Fair for the Blue Ribbon Cheese Auction where we were able to interact with her more.

This past week I was able to accompany Kaitlyn for her presentation for Belleville's fourth grade students. During this time we were able to promote Wisconsin Agriculture and talk about what we do as royalty. This year Green County is hosting the 72nd Alice in Dairyland Finals. This is happening the weekend of May 9th-11th, with the Finale being on Saturday the 11th at the Monroe Middle School at 7:30 p.m. It has truly been an honor getting to know Kaitlyn and being the Green County Dairy Queen.

If anyone has questions about the Dairy Queen Program I would be happy to talk to anyone about this life changing experience provided by the Green County Ag Chest.
