Ponies Look Ahead to Tournament Play

The Monticello Ponies boys basketball team played the last game of the regular season at home against Argyle.
The game was close throughout the first half, the lead was traded back and forth several times. Finally, with 2:20 left in the half, Monticello pulled ahead on a basket by Peter Gustafson. The halftime score was Monticello 29, Argyle 26.
In the second half, Monticello started out with an 11-0 run and never looked back, allowing the visitors to score only 8 points total in the second half. The Ponies came away with the win. Final score: Monticello 57, Argyle 34.
