As this article is composed, two teams have yet to make up their match from February 7th. However, by the time you see this, the results between the Norsk Pranksters and the Riley Shufflers will be in the record books. Those results will be printed in next week’s paper with the results from February 21.

One of the make-up matches that took place on February 14th, Valentine’s Day, was between Harley Blue and J&M Bar. Unfortunately, not everyone was feeling the love that should’ve been in the air that night. Charlie Steinhauer and Dale Herfel didn’t even give Honker (Dan Palmer) and Jim Gehin a Valentine’s Day card. Instead they gave them a skunk in the first round of the match. No worries Honker and Jim, I will send you a card. After that bumpy start, the River Rats fended off the loud roar of the Harleys to leave the Harley Blue Express sitting on the roadside with a 13-point breakdown. Gordie Miller and Jack Gehin had the most fight in them, putting up 115 points for the Rats.

The Cowboys played host to Kleeman’s in their make-up match. Although no skunks were given, the scent of one was in the air. Dave Willborn and Harold Schlimgen weren’t feeling any love from Rick Skindrud and Don Williams as Rick and Don held Dave and Harold to just 1-point in the sixth frame. A close call, but no card this Valentine’s Day. Only one couple from each team reached 100 or more points, with Marvin Thompson and Dean Disch putting up 116 points for the Cowboys. The Cowboys persevered to protect the home court by securing a 20-point victory.
