Debra "Debbi" K. Johnson, age 61 of Eau Claire, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Dove Healthcare-West after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Debbi was born to the late Daniel and Ruth (Holcomb) Ringhand on September 12, 1956.

After graduating from New Glarus High School, she attended UW-Eau Claire where she graduated with a Social Work Degree in 1979. She was united in marriage to David Johnson in July of 1981.

Debbi was a social worker at Independence Inc. and worked for Eau Claire County the past 34 years, retiring as a juvenile detention worker on May 1, 2018. Debbi had an enthusiasm for life, enjoying many hobbies and interests including photography, reading, music, cardmaking and travel. She made beautiful greeting cards for family, friends, and many pen pals. Debbi dearly loved her many special pets and called them the "Johnson Zoo". She will be remembered for her kind, nurturing and adventurous spirit and will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly (Milton) Babler; brothers, Duane (Donna) Spring and Dwight (Sandra) Spring; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Debbi was preceded in death by her husband, David; and parents.
