A Successful Friends of the New Glarus Library Book Sale

The Friends of the New Glarus Library had another successful day with their book sale on September 2nd in the Village Hall Community room. The final tallies aren't in but it's clear we raised enough money to be able to help out the library in the coming year and be true friends for the library.
A hearty "thank you" to all that came and supported the sale! The room was crowded by the official 9:00 a.m. opening time, and interest continued all day long. The weather cooperated to allow patrons and families to find some books and CDs and gently used DVDs. Even a few LP records and two 45s went out the door. The staff offered to help one lady carry three boxes of books, but she declined, explaining, "That's what I have a husband for."
Many found something to carry them through the upcoming winter days.
