With a vote of 4 to 3, Belleville village board members decided to proceed with the design work on the new police department facility and, with the same vote cast, decided to table the recommendation from the Library Board to approve the Belleville Public Library schematic design and move forward with the design development phase of the project to the July 16th village board meeting.

Almost 40 individuals attended, and many commented in support of the library during the Special Meeting of the Belleville Village Board on June 18th at the Village Hall on Main Street.
