Cloyance I. "Hefty" Hefty, age 96, passed away quietly on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in DePere, WI.  He was born on December 2, 1921, in New Glarus, WI, to John and Alice (Zweifel) Hefty.  

Hefty grew up on a farm outside of New Glarus and married Nona Vinger of Blanchardville on June 21, 1950. He went on to drive motor coach for Badger Coaches for 35 years before retiring in 1986.  He and Nona retired to Sun City West, AZ, and split their time between homes there and in Middleton, WI.

He was preceded in death by Nona, his wife of 56 years; his sister, Erna (Hefty Murphy) Thomas; and his parents. 

He survived by children, Lisa Hefty and Christopher (Ann) Hefty; and granddaughters, Kylie and McKenzie Wallace.

A memorial service will take place Monday, May 21, 2018, at Midvale Community Lutheran Church, 4329 Tokay Blvd., Madison, WI, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at 10:00 a.m.
