R. Brett Goehring, age 41 of Underwood, Iowa, passed away November 19, 2017, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He graduated from Midland High School with the class of 1994, and then attended Iowa Western Community College. Brett worked for many years at the Cooperative in Underwood and then most recently for the City of Underwood and was the Assistant Fire Chief of the Underwood Volunteer Fire Department. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Goehring.

Brett is survived by his sons, Hunter, Hayden and Harrison Goehring; father, Robert Goehring (Terry); siblings, Theresa Miller (Marty), Douglas Goehring and Toni Goehring (Eric Roth); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. 

A Memorial Service was held on Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for his sons.
