Arthur E. Grindle, age 94 of Primrose Township, WI, died on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Ingleside Nursing Home with family at his side. He was born February 9, 1923, in Dodgeville, WI, to Clarence and Agnes (Stombaugh) Grindle.

He was a U.S. Army veteran at the end of World War II. He was united in marriage to Marian M. Sittig on February 26, 1946.  They farmed in Primrose Township and he worked at Oscar Mayer for 25 years. Marian preceded him in death on June 16, 1984. Arthur's greatest joys were family, farming and a good game of Euchre. He was a member of Primrose Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his children, Marsha (Michael) Edlinger of Verona, Allen Grindle of Mount Horeb, Gregory (Sandra) Grindle of Dodgeville, Laurel (Connie) Grindle, Steven (Jeanine) Grindle, both of Mount Horeb; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Post-Hamm of Mazomanie and Mary (Edward) Byrnes of McFarland; other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip Grindle; and sisters, Beverly Forseth, June Johnson; and his daughter-in-law, Susan Grindle.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Primrose Lutheran Church, with Rev. Nicole Espe officiating.  Burial with full military honors will be at East Primrose Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home, 500 N. 8th Street, Mount Horeb, WI. 

We would like to thank the staff of Ingleside Nursing Home for their care and support to Arthur and his family the last 11 years, and Agrace HospiceCare. 

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials to Mount Horeb Veterans of Foreign Wars for their future veterans memorials or to Primrose Lutheran Church.
