Village of Monticello Approves Moratorium on Destruction of Milkweed

The Monticello Village Board met on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. All board members were in attendance.
The meeting began with approval of invoices and September payroll.
In the Public Works Committee section, it was reported that the new garbage truck should be delivered in mid-October. There was also a discussion about purchasing a new pickup truck to replace the 2008 Ford.
Trustee Larry Strause reported that the Public Safety Committee was looking at adding another full-time police officer. He also noted that the police department would like to increase training for the officers.
