ARLENE L. DOHM

Arlene L. Dohm, age 83 of Belleville, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017, at her home. She was born on January 18, 1934, to her parents, Leo and Louise (Gross) Ott, in the Town of Hamden.
Arlene graduated from Columbia County Normal and then taught in the one-room Sutton School. On September 2, 1957, she was united in marriage to LaVerne Dohm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol. Arlene later worked in the Belleville School District as a Special Education Aide. She was also a homemaker and was known for her baking and canning. She would supply friends with jars of tomato juice and pickles, loaves of bread, rosettes, and other delectable treats. Arlene was also a crafter and seamstress, she had sewn over 300 teddy bears and quilts, and had crocheted and knitted hats and scarves. She also enjoyed a good game of euchre and watching the Badgers and Packers. Family was important to Arlene, she made it a special point to get together with the Ott family and they would celebrate Christmas in July.
Arlene is survived by her husband, LaVerne Dohm; children, Mark (Kristi) Dohm, Cathy (Kevin) Johnson and Mary (Neal) Weber; grandchildren, Mitch (Melissa) Dohm, Jacci (Matt Bohne) Dohm, Marie (Donald "Corky" Sparby) Dohm, John Dohm, Christopher Dohm, Michelangelo Dohm, Keegan Dohm, Nick (Jerilyn) Johnson, Garrett Johnson, Ashley Frie, Mallorie Weber, Tonia Weber, Lisa (Jose) Hernandez and Mathew Weber; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Mikaela, Miyah, Skye, Gavin, Gage, Landon, Ashton and Jaime. She is further survived by a brother, Wilmer "Buddy" Ott; and sister, Caroline Noel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold and Leon; brothers-in-law, Gerard Dohm, Donald Mandt and Jack Pulgin; sisters-in-law, Virginia Ott, Barbara Ott, Mary Gertrude Dohm, Armella Ring and Joann Reichling; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ferdinand and Leonora Dohm.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 South Harrison Street, Belleville, WI, with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating with burial in the St. James Cemetery. Relatives and friends called from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville.
