New Glarus Dairy Queen Candidate
Hailey Raymond
June 8, 2017
Hello, my name is Hailey Raymond, and I am thrilled to be running for the 2017-2018 New Glarus Dairy Queen position. I am the daughter of Alishia and James Johnson and Nicole and Ross Raymond. I have five younger siblings, Breanna, Brady, Brooklyn, Richie and Abbigail.
I grew up living in the country. The family dairy farm has had a big impact in my life. I have a passion for showing dairy cattle and working on the farm. I will be a senior next fall at New Glarus High School, where I am an active member in the FFA, serving as the President.
For as long as I can remember, I always admired the Dairy Queens. Green County is the only county in the state that has a dairy queen program that includes representatives from each community in the county. In addition to serving as an ambassador for her community, each queen also spends a year traveling throughout Green County, Wisconsin, and northern Illinois to promote our area's dairy products, resources, industries, tourism and people. The queens show their pride through monthly Ag Chest meetings, radio reports, newspaper articles, attending area fairs and festivals, and supporting their local community activities.
It would be an honor to serve as one of the eleven community dairy queens and to have the opportunity to represent America's Little Switzerland as the 2017-2018 New Glarus Dairy Queen.
