Monticello Fire Department Considers Joining Retirement Program

Newly elected Village President Tere Dunlap presented a plaque to outgoing Village President Laverne Crooks at the April 5th Monticello Village Board meeting.
The Village Board of Monticello met for their first regular meeting of the month on April 5, 2017. Trustee Greg Bettin was absent.
In the Public Comment section, Jeremiah Strese, from the Monticello Fire Department, spoke to the board and visitors about the retirement program that the department is looking at. The program is called the Service Award Program. In this plan, the state funds match local investments and provide the benefit to the volunteers.
