Why are you running for village board? To revitalize the downtown area of Belleville and make it a destination for businesses, residents and visitors. Explore the use of tax incremental funding districts (TIF's), grants and other revenue streams to fund this revitalization. Communicate and work with current business and property owners on Main Street to understand how the Village and businesses can work together to improve the aesthetics and business climate.
What issues do you find most important to the village board? How would you handle these issues? Making Public Safety a top priority, ensure adequate funding for police, fire and EMS operations. The Village is fortunate to have a professional police department and a professional all volunteer Fire and EMS departments that are working to keep costs affordable for our community. However, we must continue to provide funding so these departments can remain modern and capable of meeting the evolving needs of the community.
