Kenneth C. Remy

Kenneth Charles Remy, age 90, passed away at his home with his family on Saturday, February 4, 2017.  Ken was born on May 15, 1926, on the family farm in Belleville to Hubert and Minnie (Zuber) Remy. 

He attended the Montrose School and Belleville High School.  After graduation he was drafted into the US Navy.  Upon returning from service he worked on the family farm, where he met the love of his life.  He married Wilma M. Kampmeier on June 23, 1963, at St. William Catholic Church in Paoli.  Ken continued working at the family farm until the fall of 2016.  He was a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus.  Ken enjoyed all sports, especially bowling. 

Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wilma; children, Charles, Jeff (Shayla), Debra Bollig, and David (Marilyn) Bollig; grandchildren, Tyler Bollig, Keith (Iliana) Bender, Kyle, and Katilyn; and great-granddaughter, Kinsley Heydn.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Bollig.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, February 9th, 2017, at St. William Catholic Church, 1371 County Highway PB, Paoli, with Father William Vernon presiding.  A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass, at the church on Thursday.  Burial at Frenchtown Cemetery with full military honors.
