MOYA J. JACKSON
Moya Jeannine (Marshall, Narveson) Jackson was born March 26, 1934, to Dr. Stanley Marshall and Jeanette (Wallace) Marshall of Hollandale, WI. Moya passed away peacefully while visiting her daughter, Sarah (Narveson) Ortega, in Fayetteville, GA, on Sunday, November 27, 2016.
Moya graduated from Hollandale High School. She married LeRoy Narveson in November of 1952. Moya and LeRoy farmed in the Hollandale, Montfort and Mineral Point areas. Moya also worked for her father, Dr. S.B. Marshall, in Hollandale until she moved to Albertville, AL, in 1975. Moya had five children, Steven Narveson, Plymouth, WI, Marshall (Janice) Narveson, San Diego, CA, Miles (Linda, Diana) Narveson, Ridgeway, WI, Chris (Tammy) Narveson, New Glarus, WI, and Sarah (Francisco) Ortega, Fayetteville, GA.
Moya re-married May 27, 1996, to her high school sweetheart, Richard Jackson, of Janesville, WI. Moya then inherited five sons from the marriage, Jerry Jackson, Newville, WI, Wayne (Sherry) Jackson, Janesville, WI, Steve Jackson, Evansville, WI, Randy Jackson, Australia, and Bob (Lane) Jackson, Evansville, WI.
Moya had 31 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Moya loved her grandchildren very much and had been especially close to the Jackson grandchildren, as for the last 20 years she had been spending the summers with the Jackson children in Janesville area. Moya was the God Mother of her cousin, Becky (Lageson) Kesler, Blanchardville, WI, who was very special to her.
She is also survived by her brother, Stanley Marshall Jr. (Neisha) of San Antonio, TX; her nephew, Shawn (Leslie) Marshall, CA; and her niece, Shalome (Marc) Westburg, MN.
Moya worked as an assistant to Dr. Bray of Albertville, AL, until 1986 when she retired. Moya touched many people through her life, some of whom she would open her home to help. These people made a large impact on Moya herself and she loved them very much. She loved her pets, both cats and dogs, and was never without a cat in the house. She enjoyed flower gardening, which is especially tough in the south where weeds grow with vigor. Moya also really loved watching birds. It seemed she knew the name of every bird. Moya also enjoyed traveling and made trips with her daughter, son in-law and grandchildren to Guatemala and with her second husband to Australia. She really loved just talking to people. Moya will live on in all whom she touched.
