Food, Fun and Festivities at the Annual Lunch With Santa Celebration

The New Glarus Youth Committee once again hosted their annual Lunch with Santa holiday fundraiser on December 10, 2016, in the New Glarus Elementary School cafeteria. Throughout the event, 116 children were photographed with the jolly old elf and admission included lunch, crafts, a coloring contest and other activities and services provided by the likes of Eichelkraut Photography and the New Glarus Police Department. Contributors also included Colony Brands, Culver's and Midwest Dental. Aside from the New Glarus Youth Committee, additional volunteers were on hand from New Glarus High School and even the Green County Community Dairy Queens made a special appearance to offer samples of locally made cheeses.
Proceeds from Lunch with Santa support the New Glarus Youth Committee, the group responsible for the 5th Grade Field Trip to Chicago, the Post Prom Party, Krafty Kids, several High School scholarships and other matching funds opportunities for New Glarus youth programs. The Youth Committee's only other major fundraiser each year is Music Fest, which will be held over Memorial Day Weekend in 2017.
