Boldebuck Speaks to Church Youth Group

 

New Glarus Chief of Police Burt Boldebuck spoke Wednesday night, November 2nd, to over fifty of the Elevate Youth of Grace Church. The chief shared why he chose to become a police officer, as well as many interesting facets of police work. He explained some of the very difficult aspects, such as being on the scene of heartbreaking tragedies, and the challenge of making split-second decisions, which can determine life or death.

He asked, "Why do you think this is a high risk occupation?" The youth answered, "Because you don't know how people will react." With that, he asked for the help...
