Lorraine B. (Elmer) Hustad, 85, passed into Jesus' loving arms on October 15, 2016, at 4:36 a.m., at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was visiting her daughter, Cheryl. Lorraine was born on the family farm in New Glarus on August 14, 1931, to Henry (Hank) and Martha (Hanson) Elmer.

On December 5, 1953, she was united in marriage to Phillip L. Hustad. Together they had four children, Jo (deceased), Rickey, Rodney and Cheryl.

Lorraine enjoyed many trips with her husband, Rickey and Cheryl. She loved cooking for family holidays, and was the queen of making pies. She also enjoyed watching her sons and grandsons play sports. Lorraine and Cheryl went to many of Bradley Wire's football games at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. She was an avid Badger and Packer fan. She enjoyed the occasional trips to casinos and loved playing Euchre with her grandsons, Bradley and Bronson Wire.

She is survived by her sons, Rickey and Rodney; and daughter, Cheryl; grandchildren, Sean and Shannon Owen, Alanna Bolden, Sarah Hustad, Riann, Hannah and Halle Hustad, and Bradley and Bronson Wire; sister-in-law, Ava Olds; two sisters, Linda (Gene) Duffy and Marian Hustad; and nine great-grandchildren who just called her "Grandma."

Preceding her in death was her husband, Phillip; daughter, Jo; brother, Harland Elmer. Brothers-in-law, Rolland (Betty) Hustad, Clayton (Myrna) Hustad, Eldon Hustad and Levitt Olds.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at 3:30 p.m., at the Swiss United Church of Christ, 18 5th Avenue, New Glarus. Visitation will precede the service from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Swiss Church Cemetery. Dinner to follow.
