The Monticello Lions honored their active charter members at their picnic held on August 3rd.  Those honored were Maynard Hefty, Ernest Gempeler, Jim McNeil and Jack Stenbroten.  These members were presented plaques by District Governor Eric Holthaus and Monticello Lions Club President Dan Roe.

The Club was chartered in the fall of 1978 with twenty members.  We now have a total of 47 members and this past year have donated over $14,000.00 locally and state wide. Our meetings are the third Thursday of every month, currently at the Lions Club shelter.
