Swiss Center of North America's Polka for the Swiss Fundraiser
It’s nearly time to Polka for the Swiss on Sunday, April 17th, at the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Zweifel Brothers will be performing and the fundraiser will feature heritage music by members of the New Glarus Maennerchor and Green County Alphorns.
Polka for the Swiss includes a silent auction with more than 50 baskets, including the chance to “Golf and Eat” in New Glarus valued at $225, or bid on a 5-foot-high Swiss Chalet style birdfeeder valued at $250. Want to get away? The Wilderness waterpark in the Wisconsin Dells is one destination, as is a Sundara Spa escape.
Homemade wine by Don Marty and Henry Dehann spotlight the 40 bottle Wine Pull.
Admission is $10.00 per person, and includes the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant’s Cheese Fondue specialty plus Green County Cheese and meats and other appetizers.
“I sincerely thank Mike and Roland for sponsoring Polka for the Swiss,” said Beth Zurbuchen, Swiss Center of North America’s President. “This allows the all proceeds from the event to help pay for the work of the Swiss Center.”
The nonprofit Swiss Center of North America, located at 507 Durst Road in New Glarus, preserves and supports Swiss cultural heritage in the U.S. and Canada. 100% of its budget comes from individual, family and business contributions.
