Arlene Isabel Solberg, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Ingleside Manor in Mount Horeb, WI. She was born at home on Schaller Road, outside of Paoli, to her parents, Jacob and Lillian (Ellefs) Schaller.

Arlene graduated from Belleville High School and then went on to Madison Business College. On November 3, 1945, she was united in marriage to John Solberg at Shullsburg, WI; the couple spent sixty three years together until John's passing. Arlene retired at the age of 62 as the administrative assistant to the Dean of the School of Education at UW-Madison. She was a member of St. William's Catholic Church in Paoli. Arlene loved life, she cherished her husband and children to the end. She was a friend to many and loved by them, she will be deeply missed.

Arlene is survived by her eight children, Dennis (Myra) Solberg, Michael (Lucy) Solberg, Thomas Solberg, Patti (Ron) Rieder, Richard Solberg, Terry (Cheryl Way) Solberg, Cindy (Steve) Bucierka, and Don (Pam) Solberg; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brothers, Russell and Fred Schaller; sisters, Jeanette Winn and June Caruso; and a granddaughter, Jessica Hayes.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at St. William's Catholic Church, 1371 County Road PB, Belleville, WI, with the Rev. William Vernon officiating with burial in the St. William's Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at St. Williams Catholic Church on Saturday, December 19, 2015.

A memorial fund has been established.
