Santa Claus to Visit Monticello
Saturday, December 12
Everyone get their lists ready for Santa Claus, he will be at the Monticello Fire Station on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Treats will be served.
There will be a collection box for Monticello Empty Stocking for food, new toys and new mittens and gloves.
While Santa greets the children there and hears their wishes for Christmas, his elves are working hard to set up a special shop for the children to buy gifts for their family members. Santa’s Workshop increases in popularity each year, and last year the elves were forced to move into the basement of Zwingli UCC in order to have enough room for everyone. This year looks to be every bit as exciting and well attended, but it can’t happen without your help.
As always, Santa’s elves look to the local community for donations of small gift items that the children can “buy” for their parents and siblings and grandparents. If you have any new or like-new items to donate, please feel free to drop them off at either church (Washington UCC or Zwingli UCC) or during the week at Tri-Insure at 145 N. Main Street, Monticello. For special arrangements or pickup, please call Julie Ruegsegger at (608) 558-2397 or Kathleen Grossen at (608) 558-1588. Thank you so much for your help!
