Products from Green County were showcased during a "Cook of the Week" event held in Chicago, Illinois, on November 2. Cook of the Week, a three-month promotion involving print and online advertising and editorial content, was sponsored by Daily Herald newspapers. It featured a series of cook's challenges with chefs creating recipes using various ingredients each week – including cheese from Maple Leaf Cheese Store and Moonshine from Minhas Micro Distillery. The final challenge took place during a ticketed event for 500 people. Green County Tourism hosted several tables with samples of local products and also distributed area visitor guides and brochures.
