Lyle A. Wealti

 

Lyle A. Wealti, age 78 of Verona, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg. He was born on November 8, 1936, in Basco to his parents, Robert and Annetta (Neilsen) Wealti.

Lyle served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. On June 14, 1958, he was united in marriage to Ann Stenseth at the Springdale Lutheran Church. Lyle hauled milk for 36 years and later drove bus for First Student in Verona, driving both school routes and sports charters. He enjoyed playing cards and had been President and Captain of the Sugar River Euchre League. Lyle also enjoyed woodworking and traveling with road trips to see the colors and exploring the country. Lyle and Ann also made regular trips to Branson and traveled to Hawaii and Switzerland.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Ann of Verona; children, Jeffery Wealti of Madison, Gregory Wealti of Madison, LaVerne (Debra) Wealti of Belleville, and Lori (Neal) Wermuth of Verona; grandchildren, Travis, Ryan, and Alex Wealti, and Blair, Bridget, and Brook Wermuth. He is further survived by his sisters, Elaine (Vernus) Klosterman of Cross Plains, and Arlene Scholl of Edgerton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Raymond, Richard and Robert; and sisters, Lorraine Kopke and Wanetta Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI, with burial in the Belleville Cemetery with full military honors.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staffs of St. Mary's Hospital and Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. for their kind and compassionate care of Lyle.
