Spring Fling and Village Wide Garage Sales

Before you toss everything for Spring Cleanup on April 20, 2015, the Monticello Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce, by popular demand, a spring village-wide garage sale being held Friday, May 15, 2015 and Saturday, May 16, 2015. Times may vary to the individual holding the garage sale. Register for the garage sales at the Monticello Village Hall. Maps will be made available at the Village Hall, Gempeler’s Supermarket, both located on Main Street in Monticello, Greenwoods State Bank, and Francois Citgo Station, located on HWY 69. There will be an Easter Seals truck to receive donations down by the fire station on Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We plan to have the garage sales end around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015. This is to allow everyone to come and enjoy the festivities of Monticello’s Spring Fling 2015!
Saturday, May 16, 2015, the Monticello Fire Department is having their annual Pig Roast at the Fire Station from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with Live Music from Andy Yaun (local guitarist). There will also be the Monticello 4-H flower sale, Lioness Nut Sale, and we have invited those who have participated in past Lioness Craft shows, along with local small businesses, to attend from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., near the fire station.
The Village Park will be quite busy! Community Club is having their annual ball games! Live Music starting at 1:00 p.m. and Beer Garden! The Monticello Lions will have their shelter house open for their Famous Hand-dipped Cheese Curds and Mushrooms, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Please note, there are no carry-ins allowed in to the Village Park. The Monticello Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce the first Spring Fling Car, Motorcycle and Tractor show, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with proceeds to benefit Project Homes. Project Homes is a great organization, helping only Dane and Green County residents with cutting their energy needs and emergency services. We want to take this opportunity to support their cause and show our appreciation for the assistance they offer Green County residents. We are strongly encouraging everyone who would like to participate in the show to register by Monday, April 27, 2015.
