Eagles Spotted in Belleville Area

Eagles have been spotted in the Lake Belle View islands area, which understandably offers some great opportunities for bird-watching and photos. However, please be aware that federal guidance states that human activity should be avoided from January 15 - July 30 within a set distance of a nest, depending on the activity.

If you walk, bike, canoe, camp, fish, or hunt near an eagle nest during the breeding season and your activity will be visible or can be heard from the nest please stay at least 330 feet (100 meters) from the nest. Please see the News item on the Village of Belleville...
