Paul G. Richardson, age 37 of Blanchardville, WI, died at home in a house fire on May 1, 2016.  Paul was born on January 23, 1979, in Dodgeville, WI, the son of Wayne Richardson and Jane Rux. 

He graduated from Belleville High School in 1997. He is also a graduate of Red Wing Technical College in Red Wing, MN.  Paul did not blend into the crowd with either his appearance or ideas.  He was known for his tall stature and his trademark long red beard.  Paul lived a simple rural life and loved to entertain his numerous friends.  He spent hours after dusk telling tales with his booming voice and a twinkle in his blue eyes.  Paul loved the outdoors and worked as a tree trimmer for Accurate Tree Service. He was loved by many and will be long remembered.  Paul will be missed most of all by seven cats in "The Valley."  

Paul is survived by his parents, Wayne Richardson of Arena and Jane (Paul) Rux of Mount Horeb; two sisters, Jennifer Swiggum of Blue Mounds and Monica (Curt) Jacobsen of Marshall; one brother, Eugene (Heather) Richardson of Wiota; one nephew, Wyatt Swiggum; three nieces, Alison Swiggum, Anne Richardson and Perpetua Jacobsen. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Owen and Mary Margaret Richardson of Blue Mounds and Hobart and Mary Tredinnick of Mineral Point.

A Celebration of Life Gathering was held from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Mount Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 315 E. Main Street, Mount Horeb, WI.

The Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home, 500 N. 8th St., Mount Horeb, WI, is serving the family.
