The 71st Annual Belleville Community Picnic is scheduled to take place Friday, August 12, through Sunday, August 14, at Sugar River Park in Belleville (some events take place at Community Park and will be noted as so).

Friday night is Family Night/Glow Night. The Turtle Stand will be open all evening. Bingo will be played from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. There will be Face Painting and Balloon Animals from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., and Havens Petting Farm will be there with their adorable animals at the same time. Backyard games will take place from 5:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m., and Adult Kickball is from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. The Open Cornholio Tournament begins at 6:00 p.m. The Men’s Softball tournament is at Community Park. Summer Haze is playing at the Beer Tent from 9:30 p.m.-12:00 a.m. Fireworks will be at Dusk (rain date, Sunday, August 14th).

Get up early for breakfast on Saturday, it will be served from 7:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00 a.m., and Kids Kickball starts at 9:00 a.m. Co-Ed Volleyball begins at 9:00 a.m. as well. The Bike Race starts at 9:30 a.m. The Beer Tent will feature music by Frenchtown from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The Women’s Cornholio Tournament starts at 11:00 a.m. There will be Face Painting from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Havens Petting Farm will be at the park from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Backyard Games and the Turtle Stand will be happening all day long. Community Park will be hosting Co-Ed Softball and Men’s Softball. There will also be Adult Kickball on Saturday. Judging for the Rib Contest takes place at 3:00 p.m. The Rockabilly Kid will be at the Beer Tent from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The Teen Bags Tournament starts at 5:00 p.m. Madison County will be performing at the Beer Tent from 8:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.

On Sunday, the Duck Draw is at 10:00 a.m., the Kids Tractor Pull goes from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and the Youth Football Combine will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. There will be a Car Show at Library park, rain or shine, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The Greenfield Brothers will be playing at the Beer Tent from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The Chicken Dinner starts serving at 11:30 a.m. Havens Petting Farm will be there from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., and Balloon Animals and Face Painting will take place from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. All day long you can enjoy Backyard Games and the Turtle Stand. The Co-Ed Cornholio Tournament starts at 1:00 p.m., and the Zweifel Brothers will play the Beer Tent from 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Men’s Championship Softball and Co-Ed Championship Softball both take place at Community Park. The Main Stage will host the Raffle Drawing at 6:00 p.m., and then at 7:00 p.m., Ghosts in the Room play the Beer Tent until 10:30 p.m.
