On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Patty Mary and Angela Swinehart, Field Representative for the Salvation Army, presented New Glarus Bakery owner Angela Neff with a plaque. The award was to thank her for her donations over the years to the Salvation Army's National Donut Day (June 4, 2021). For the past several years the New Glarus Bakery has donated a percentage of their sales on National Donut Day.
New Glarus Bakery is proud to celebrate National Bakery Day on September 17, 2021. The sweet "holiday" gives local bakeries an opportunity to celebrate their success and showcase the special role they play in the hearts of their community.
This year, New Glarus Bakery will be giving 15% of the bakery's sales that day to New Glarus Area EMS.
Angela Neff, owner of New Glarus Bakery, said, "We couldn't have better partners in serving New Glarus. Our local EMS personnel are a critical part of the health care safety net for residents. Helping local first responders have the latest and greatest tools is one way that we can help patients access emergency care as fast as possible, and we are glad to do it."
