Get ready for the Friends of the New Glarus Library’s return of its annual sale this coming weekend, September 4th and 5th, after a 1-year break. To have everybody safe and avoid crowding, attendance in the New Glarus Village Hall community room will be limited. That doesn’t mean you can’t grab an arm load of books and come back for more later, because you’ll have two days to choose.

The sale will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., both days. To avoid handling money as part of our safety practices, we are simply asking for a free-will donation for your choices. Sorry, but in the interest of safety, we won’t be having any of those yummy baked goods sitting out. Everyone can park by the Fire Department side door and have a short trip to haul your booty. We will not only have our canvas Friends bags for sale but paper bags to help you carry your haul. Days are getting shorter, we need to stock up for those long winter nights.
