New Glarus Fire Department's annual Firefest will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Firefest is a day full of great food, music and activities for the entire family.
The New Glarus Fire Department's Annual Firefest will be held on Saturday, July 31st.
From 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., there will be fire truck rides for all ages, kids waterfights and plenty of kids activities.
The concession stands are open from 11:30 a.m.-Midnight. The food stand includes Hoesly's Meats brats, hot dogs and walking tacos, and the beverage stand features beverages to quench any thirst.
At 2:30 p.m., the adult open water fights start. Three person teams, register by 2:00 p.m. at Firefest.
Down From the Hills will be playing from 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
From 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., enjoy a pork chop dinner.
NEW THIS YEAR: Masskrugstemmen! Individual heats will be held throughout at the day from Noon until 7:00 p.m. The finals will take place at band intermission. What's Masskrugstemmen? It's a contest of strength, where drinkers hold out a full 1-liter beer stein for as long as they can. Think you can win? Show up and try!
And finally, the Kings of Radio will entertain from 8:00 p.m. until Midnight.
All events are to be held at the New Glarus Fire Station, located at 218 4th Avenue.
