Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Marty on Saturday received a telegram from their son, Corp. Phillip Marty, saying that he has landed in San Francisco.
Herman Theiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Theiler, is at the home of his parents, after being discharged from the Navy.
Kenneth Remy, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zuber Sr., has been at his home on leave from Great Lakes Naval training station.
Lester Palmer, Great Lakes, has been at the home of his parents at Paoli, on leave.
Richard E. Disch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Disch, has been promoted to Corporal recently at Fort Ben. Harrison in Indianapolis.
Eugene C. Slotten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Slotten, is still in the hospital with rheumatic fever. He has been in the hospital since January 22, but is improving now. His address is: Eugene C. Slotten A/S, U. S. Naval Hospital Unit 6, Rancho Santa Fe., California.
Pfc. Neal Marty has written his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philipp Marty, from Manila, that he had received a telephone call from his brother Corp. Philipp Marty, who is en route to the states from India.
Recently discharged from the Army was Capt. Raymond Fritz, who has been on terminal leave.
Eugene Duerst, son of Mrs. Mary Duerst Gmur, was in Chicago on last Wednesday for a pre-induction examination. Only four men were called from Green County.
Marshall Ingwell, who served in the Marine Corps, has been discharged.
Warren L. Fredrickson is Discharged From Service
Warren L. Fredrickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fredrickson, received his discharge at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, from the Army Air Corps after 30 months in service. He was inducted from Mayfield, Kentucky, attended Washington University at St. Louis, Mo., went to radio school at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and later trained as a gunner at Kingman, Arizona. Before receiving his discharge, he was stationed at Randolph Field, Texas.
For the present, Warren is employed at the Pet Milk plant and plans to enter college in fall.
