Giving Tuesday for New Glarus Library
November 26, 2020
Don’t you wish a dollar was worth more than a dollar, not less? You can have your wish come true on December 1.
December 1st is Giving Tuesday and the Friends of the New Glarus Library are participating for the first time. The Friends want use this money for furniture in the Children’s and Young Adult areas of the new library, and to help with the cost of special programs for the community. The great thing is that the money we raise for furniture will be matched by the ongoing Love of Community grant, making your dollar worth more!
The Giving Tuesday initiative started in 2012 as philanthropy’s answer to Black Friday. Held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it’s a day the world comes together to share their time, talents, voice, and financial support for causes they love.
We’ll be sharing stories about our library and community online. Speak up and share your own story! Email staff@ngpl.org or call (608) 527-2003 for more information.
