Montesian Gardens News
October 29, 2020
We have stored our hoes and shovels for the 2020 season and are most appreciative of donations to the gazebo repainting by the Monticello Lions, Lionesses, Gordon and Carol Schultz and Bill and Kay Dickson. The Potting Shed and Witt families provided beautiful plants and Harold Babler family memorial for the permanent brick planters in front of the gazebo.
Thank you to the volunteers for spending many hours planting, weeding and watering so our visitors could enjoy a leisurely walk or bike ride during our COVID summer and fall. We also noticed weddings taking place on nice Saturdays. Zwingli and Washington Reformation churches provided a church service in July which was well attended. One of our long-time volunteers, John Kummer, observed his 90th birthday; he has a garden spot as you enter on the north side. We are always looking for volunteers.
Spring is always just around the corner!
