Belleville Area EMS will be at the Belleville Public Library on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, to provide drop-in first aid training for the community. All are welcome.
Would you be prepared to help someone in an emergency? Learn crucial steps that you can take after calling 911 to fill the gap until first responders can arrive.
Drop-in training stations will include hands-only CPR, dealing with choking, using an AED (defibrillator), administering Narcan in the event of an overdose, and Stop the Bleed training.
Tour the new ambulance in the library parking lot.
Young children will enjoy a special storytime at 10:00 a.m., about community helpers and EMTs who help when someone is hurt.
Older children can participate in an emergency preparedness station downstairs, learning when to call 911 and how to do simple first aid.
All ages are encouraged to visit the first aid kit making station.
