Phillip J. Schmid, age 54 of Belleville, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on November 21, 1965 in Monroe, the son of Ronald and Joyce (Goodman) Schmid.

Phillip grew up in Belleville, and in 1992 he married Alicia Ingalls. He first worked at Engineering Industries and later Engraving Specialties. Most recently he had worked as a cook at J&M Bar and Grill in Belleville.

Phillip is survived by his children, Tahera (Tristan Hanson) Stern, Devin (Zachary) Blay-Stahl, and Jon (fiancée Kailey Wyman) Ruf; grandchildren, Ayden and Bennex. He is further survived by his father, Ronald Schmid; sisters Cheryl Arn and Pamela (Bill) Brunner; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; nephew, Scott Johnson Jr .; and granddaughter, Hailey.

A celebration of Phillip's life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, February 7, 2020, at J&M's Bar and Grill, 127 W. Main Street, Belleville, WI. Private inurnment will be in the Belleville Cemetery at a later date.
