On March 16, 2019, the New Glarus Glarner Knights capped off the first visit to state in 87 years by winning the 2019 Division 4 State Championship! Bryan Gadow, who was the New Glarus Village Administrator since 2015, accepted the position as City Administrator and Economic Development Director for the City of Monona. Gadow's appointment was approved by the Monona City Council and the New Glarus Village Board accepted his resignation. His last day in New Glarus was January 3, 2019.
The 33rd Annual Winter Fest R&R All Veterans Reunion, held January 17-20, 2019, welcomed Veterans from around the nation, taking place in New Glarus. This is the first veterans reunion of the year in the nation.
