Turkey Drop Supports Belleville Food Pantry

The Belleville Turkey Drop organizers would once again like to thank the Belleville community for their amazing generosity during their 8th Annual Turkey Drop that took place on Friday, November 15th.
Donations included: $1,384 in cash donations; 74 turkeys; 53 boxes or bags of stuffing; 50 cans of mandarin oranges; 60 boxes of potatoes; 59 boxes of orange Jell-O; 15 cans of green beans; five cans of cream of mushroom soup; 53 jars/cans of gravy; three cans of cranberries; three cans of pumpkin; nine cans of corn; five canned potatoes; one can of peas; two cans of French fried onions; three cans of misc. soups; four cans misc. beans; three cans of mixed vegetables; three cans of beets; and one can of crushed tomatoes.
Organizers would like to thank Bob Gentilli, Theresa Schultz and Middle School and High School students; Julie Sutter Blair; Todd Hackman; Doris Diaz; Julie Uebelacker; Doug Brown; Doug and Marian Viney; Betty Wolff; Nate Perry; Heather Schmitz and all the giving people who donated items.
Special thank you to the Francois family for graciously allowing the Turkey Drop to take place at the former Francois Sales and Service parking lot; Darin Burreson/Burreson's grocery store for storing the turkeys and collecting items; staff at the Belleville Middle School and High School for collecting donations; and Bob and Bev Flanagan and Karen Stremikis who coordinate and help at the Belleville Food Pantry. It's humbling to live in such a wonderful town that goes above and beyond to help others, THANK YOU!!
