Over 160 dinners were sold at the Second Annual Zwingli Brotherhood Steak Fry held August 24th. Proceeds provide scholarships to area students.

Members and friends of the Zwingli United Church of Christ Brotherhood men's group hit the grills Saturday, August 24th. The most amazing smells filled the air in the Village of Monticello. Generously cut, tasty grilled, 12 oz rib steaks, baked potatoes, coleslaw and delicious sweet corn were the guests of honor for this second annual feast.

Each year the brotherhood members custom grill to order some of the tastiest rib steaks in the world. The meal is a fundraiser whose proceeds provide Scholarships to area youth who are expanding their horizons with higher education. The scholarships are made available each spring for students to apply. Last year, scholarships were awarded to four area seniors, two from Albany and two from Monticello. This year 160+ dinners were sold and there were many donations. Be on the lookout for next year's Zwingli Brotherhood steak fry, sometime in August 2020.
