Stories in the Stars

The Discovery Center is bringing their super-cool inflatable planetarium to the New Glarus Public Library!
In the morning, join us for the Junior Planetarium. Explore the animals of the night sky in this “not too dark” show designed just for our toddler and preschool friends. We’ll look for different animal constellations while meeting their stuffed animal counterparts and hearing a few stories along the way in our big inflatable dome (sorry, it’s not a bounce house…). Showtimes at 10:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
In the afternoon, we present Ancient Stories in the Sky. Learn about the origins of our familiar constellations, hear ancient stories about the night sky featuring Greek legends and epic monsters, and explore the wonders of our night sky in this classic planetarium program. Showtimes at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Space inside the dome is limited, so advance registration is recommended. To sign up, stop by the library, call us at 527-2003, or email staff@ngpl.org. In your email, please include the number of children and adults who will be attending, along with your first and second choices for showtimes.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
