Belleville Area EMS to Hold Open House

May 16, 2019

The Belleville Area Emergency Medical Services will host an Open House from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the EMS building at 480 River Street.

Staff with the Belleville Area EMS are planning a carnival theme with cotton candy, popcorn, and other food. There will be games, a bouncy house, cot races, balloons, and more.

EMTs will demonstrate tourniquet application and former EMTs will demonstrate moulage, which is the art of applying mock injuries for the purpose of training emergency response teams and other medical and military personnel.

“This year, we are trying some new things,” said EMT Sara Ryan Novotny. “Besides the EMS, Belleville Fire Department volunteers will attend along with staff from Dane County Government Public Safety Communications or 911.”

Plan to attend and learn more about the Belleville EMS. If you are interested in helping the Belleville community, think about becoming an EMT or driver for Belleville EMS. For information, please contact Belleville EMS at (608) 424-3350.

“We are always looking for new members and are especially looking for people who are available during the day,” added Novotny.
