WWI Display for Homecoming

Commemorating the 100-year anniversary of the end of WWI, the Monticello Community Club is sponsoring a WWI display Homecoming weekend at the former Ford garage lobby on North Avenue.  Pictures of local WWI veterans, letters from the soldiers, and much more will be on display.  From the Monticello Messenger, August 28, 1918:  Fred Amstutz Gives His All, "Both he (Fred Amstutz) and his brother Sam fought with Company H of the 127th Infantry. Sam was wounded at the same time Fred was killed, on July 24." 

The display will be open Friday, 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.; Saturday, Noon – 8:00 p....
