New Glarus Bike Rodeo

May 10, 2018
For seven years, the New Glarus Police Department and New Glarus Chamber have hosted a bike rodeo in early May. A rodeo is a bicycle skills event which provides an opportunity for young bicyclists to practice and develop skills that will help them to become better bicyclists and avoid typical crashes.
This year’s bike rodeo will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at the Depot on Railroad Street.
Along with bike safety, 50 bike helmets will be given away, along with a free t-shirt to each participant and volunteer, a goodie bag filled with coupons, coloring books, stickers, etc. All participants and their families will enjoy a free lunch, a bouncy house and a petting zoo. And don’t forget to enter the drawing for a chance to win one of the 10 bikes that will be given away! The bikes are generously donated by local businesses. Children in Kindergarten through 4th grade may enter to win.
All of this is made possible by donations. If you would like to make a donation, please send it to: Susie Weiss, New Glarus Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 713, New Glarus, WI 53574.
