Amy Marie (Ott) Triege passed away peacefully after losing her long battle with cancer on April 11, 2018. Amy was born on January 20, 1957, to loving parents George Ott and Geraldine (Webber) Ott and raised in the town of New Glarus, WI, living there in her early years, and later moving to Madison.
After meeting David Triege, Amy and David moved down to Texas with their two children. Later, getting married in Houston, TX, and giving birth to their third child, Heidi Triege. Amy worked for the State Historical Society for many years, later working at Walgreens for several years, and even opening up her own leather works shop on the east side of Madison.
Some of Amy's fondest moments and memories are accompanied by her grandchildren and close friends. Often being known to take care of her grandchildren as if they were her own children. She loved spending time with them and making memories; some that will never be forgotten.
Amy is survived by her loving husband, David Triege of Sun Prairie; her daughter, Brandi (Joey) Schulenburg of Waterloo; her mother, Geri Schwartzlow of Monticello; brothers and sisters, George Ott Jr. of Monticello, Angie Trumpy of Monticello, Annette (Tim) Hauser of Woodford, Andrea (Larry) Flannery of Argyle, Gary (Jane) Ott of New Glarus; four sisters-in-law; and step-brothers and step-sisters; grandchildren, Hailee and Drew Reynolds, Armani Benson, William (Billy) Benson, Georgia Benson, Emerson and Riley Schulenburg; nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Amy is proceeded in her passing by her father, George Ott Sr.; a son, Adam Triege; and a daughter, Heidi Triege.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at T&D's, 149 N. Main Street, Monticello (the old Monticello House). Services from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. All family and friends are welcome.
